Every little helps!

An objective of the Friends is to make life easier for those who tend and maintain the Grand Western. Our Wardens act as eyes and ears for the Rangers and support them in times of crisis. We are grateful to Holcombe Rogus, Westleigh and Sampford Peverell Parish Councils who have helped provide funds for the warden's equipment. The photo shows Officers and Members of those councils with Robert Hodgson and David Slack of the Friends.

News!  we are revamping the Wardens.  We'd love to hear from you if you were one of the first Wardens and are still active or if you are new to the area and would like to help keep our lovely canal ship-shape.

The Friends have been campaigning, giving talks, going to shows and fetes and organising events since their inception.  Do you care passionately about the future of the South West's premier waterway?  Please consider either joining the Trustee group or helping man one of the events next year and sharing your passion!
